Description

Mount Wear House is a late 17th-century brick house, originally L-shaped, with a plaster and stucco finish. The main garden front is two storeys with seven windows, and has gabled dormers above. This part of the house was altered in the 18th century and later. Modern casement windows are now in place. The roof is covered with slate and features a modillion cornice. Some two-inch bricks are visible beneath the plaster. Inside, the hall contains early 18th-century panelling, a staircase, and a cornice.
