Description
Ye Olde Tithe Cottage Tea Rooms is a building that likely dates from the 18th century to early 19th century, featuring earlier elements and later modifications. The facade is rendered, probably over cob, and the building is 1 and a half storeys high with a half hipped thatched roof that extends low over the front verandah, which is supported by four timber posts on a modern stone foundation. There are two windows, which are three-light early 19th century style casements with glazing bars, and a central door. The building also has one dormer and a side casement in the attic. A very large external stack is located on the southeast side, along with an off-centre brick chimney. The northwest side facade is made of stone with red brick dressings, and there is a 19th century pump that has been reset.
