Description

The lychgate at the entrance to the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Margaret and St Andrew was built in 1901 in memory of a former Vicar, Rev W H Purcell. It features a heavy timber frame with corbelled eaves, cusped outer lights, and spandrels that are pierced by crosses. The structure includes gates and a side balustrade, with a central Tudor arch and turned rails. The base is made of ashlar, and it has a hipped tiled roof topped with a central cross.
