Description

Churchstyle Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to 1602, as indicated by a datestone on a rebuilt stack, although it is likely older. The building is constructed of stone rubble, with some areas plastered, and features a thatched roof with gabled ends. It has two storeys and a four-window range, with the right-hand (east) end eaves set at a lower level. The windows are 19th-century two and three-light casements with glazing bars. There is a plank door leading to a cross passage, located off-centre to the right, which is sheltered by a late 19th-century porch that has shaped bargeboards. The farmhouse has brick chimney stacks at both gable ends and a short plastered cob wing at the rear, which also has a gable-ended thatched roof. Inside, there is a timber-framed screen that separates the cross passage.
