Description
Northay is a farmhouse built around the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a steeply pitched slate roof with stone coping on the gable ends. The building has ashlar quoins and is two storeys high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The windows are three-light casements set in ashlar segmental arched openings. The central entrance consists of a round-arched ashlar doorway, which includes a semi-circular fanlight and a plank door. Ashlar chimney stacks are positioned over the gable ends. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to added to the west end of the building during the 19th century.
