Description

Franklins is a cottage dating from around the 17th century, built of roughcast cob with a thatched roof featuring gables and half-hipped ends. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. It has a three-window front, with modern casement windows and one eyebrow dormer. A modern door is located on the left-hand side, sheltered by a deep eaves overhang that forms a porch. A remnant of an oven is visible on the rear wall. A modern single-storey rear wing has been added.
