Description
This is an illegible chest tomb located approximately 6 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Michael. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is made of Beerstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular shape, with its plinth buried. The lid features a low ridge and soffit-moulded edges. On the north side, there are two rectangular fielded panels, both inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, though the inscriptions are worn and difficult to read. The lid also has some old graffiti, including a drawing made around the sole of a shoe.
