Description

Higher Colston Farm is a farmhouse dating from around the 16th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features a corrugated iron roof with hipped and gabled ends, with the north-east end being slightly higher. The building is two storeys tall and has a long three-window range, although modern casements have been installed. The south-west end includes one bay that is said to have been rebuilt. On the north-west side, there are lean-to outshuts. Inside, the farmhouse has stopped chamfered ceiling beams and two jointed cruck trusses.
