Description
The stables and coach house, built in the late 19th to early 20th century, are located approximately 3 meters west of Plymtree Manor. Constructed of Flemish bond brick with a brick stack and chimney shaft, the building features a slate roof and has an L-shaped plan. The stables face the service wing of Plymtree Manor to the east and include a tack room on the left with a rear lateral stack, and stables on the right, both with haylofts above. The coach house projects forward at right angles and faces south.
On the exterior, the stable front has a doorway to the right and a 24-pane sash window to the left, which serves the tack room; both openings are topped with segmental arches. There is a hayloft loading hatch in the left gable end. The coach house features two full-height doorways, and both wings of the building have gable ends. Inside, the stables retain original carpentry and joinery details, including the stalls.
