Description

This is a cottage, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of plastered cob on stone rubble footings, with one end rebuilt in brick. It has two stacks, one of cob or stone rubble and the other of brick, both topped with plastered brick. The roof is thatched. Originally a two-room plan cottage facing south, it features end stacks, with the left (eastern) stack projecting. Outshots to the rear might be original. The front elevation is irregular, with three windows featuring late 19th- or early 20th-century casements with glazing bars. A late 19th-century door is positioned slightly left of centre, leading to a contemporary porch with a hipped thatched roof and windows with diamond panes of leaded glass on either side. A large sloping buttress is located to the right. The roof is gable-ended, and the left end wall has been rebuilt in brick. The interior was not inspected.
