Description

Rose Cottage is a detached house dating from the 18th century, with a later addition. It features colourwashed render and a gabled stone slate roof with two rendered stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window west front, along with a later two-storey, one-window extension on the right side. The windows are 2-light, 3-pane casements, with those on the ground floor of the original section featuring keystones. There is a part-glazed 20th-century door with a flat hood positioned to the right. A stone plaque in the upper centre displays a bunch of grapes and the initials JT, although the date is eroded. The cottage is situated at a visually significant location at the entrance to the village.
