Description

Front Lodge, built around 1840, serves as a lodge to Lackham House. The front is constructed of ashlar stone and features a thatched, pyramid-hipped roof. A rear wing is roughly cast and thatched. The lodge is two and a half storeys high, with a three-window facade. It has two-light mullioned windows; the upper windows are set beneath a broad eyebrow and have hood moulds, with the central pair being blank. A ground-floor concrete-tiled rustic verandah is supported by timber posts. The central door is Tudor-arched, and the flanking windows lack hood moulds. Two-light windows are set into the end walls.
