Description
The Aust monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 6 meters north-north-west of the Goddard monument and north of the transept of the Church of St. Bartholomew. It dates from around 1803 and is constructed from ashlar stone. The tomb features a raised fielded central plaque on each side, flanked by fielded panels. It has a moulded base and cornice, with a pulvinated frieze that is broken forward at the center. The angles are rounded and adorned with foliate decoration. The inscription on the south side commemorates Uriah Aust, who died in 1803.
