Description
The low railing surrounding the Walmesley vault, located in the northeast corner of the churchyard of the Church of St. John, dates from around 1900. This ornamental railing is made of bronze and encloses a square area. It features six low posts on each side, each topped with ball finials, and has two horizontal rails. The upper rail is supported by brackets designed in the Art Nouveau style, depicting vine leaves and grapes.
