House and shop. Early C19, with fine mid C19 shop front. Rendered limestone rubble with party wall stack and stone slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys, cellar and attic; 2-window range. A full-width shop front projects over the former front area, with consoles to a fascia and dentil cornice, plate-glass windows and a recessed doorway with a fanlight; horned first-floor 2/2-pane sashes and a gabled casement dormer. INTERIOR: details include an altered ground-floor opened through to the rear room, which has a left-hand C19 fireplace, and a rear right-hand stair with stick balusters, column newels and a ramped rail with a round-arched rear stair light; the second floor is open to a collar truss roof, and has 4-panel doors; the cellar reached by stone steps and a winding passage, possibly relating to a previous house on the site.
