Description

CORSHAM CHURCH SQUARE ST 8770 5/55 G. Neale monument in churchyard about lm north of S. Neale monument north of north-west end of Church of St. Bartholomew GV II

Chest tomb, mid C18, ashlar wth 2 octagonal plaques each side, foliate decorated centre pier and fielded angle piers. Moulded base and cornice with pulvinated frieze breaking forward over piers. West end skull, bones and hour-glass. Main inscriptions indecipherable, east end panel to G. Neale died 1715, probably reset.
