Description
Dairy Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with part of it rebuilt in the 19th century. It features a timber frame, brick construction, and a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and was likely originally two bays with an external stack to the right, which is now enclosed by a 18th-century extension that has been refaced in 19th to 20th-century brick on the front and west sides. The framing includes thin storey-height studding with braces to the first floor. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams with shaped stops in both main rooms, as well as an inglenook fireplace. At the back, there is a late 19th to early 20th-century wing that contains service rooms and outhouses.
