Description

No. 33 is a late 17th/early 18th century house located in Chippenham. It is built of limestone rubble and has a triple-Roman gambrel roof with two 19th-century raking dormers. The house follows a two-unit plan, extended by a long rear wing. The exterior presents two storeys with an attic, and a two-window front. The first floor has stone-mullioned two-light windows with 19th-century 2-pane casements. The ground floor has cyma-moulded windows, a two-light window with 6/6-pane sashes to the left, and a single light 4/4-pane sash to the right. A chamfered architrave and hood on brackets frame a 20th-century six-panel door located to the right of centre. The right return has a blocked three-light stone-mullioned window at the roof apex. The interior was not inspected.
