Description

The Malthouse is a building with origins in the 17th century, but it has been significantly altered and extended in the 18th and 19th centuries. The exterior is rendered, and it features a double Roman tiled roof, with pantiles on the projecting gabled wing to the north (left) that has a bargeboard. The building is two storeys tall, with an attic in the wing and two storeys in the main part. It has glazing bar sash windows throughout, with four in the main block and one in the wing. The entrance is centrally located in the main block and is accompanied by a cast iron porch. There are later bay windows on either side of the entrance.
