Description

Hartley House is a former toll-house dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is rendered and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has a three-sided bay front facing the road. All the windows are modern and are set under dripmoulds with returns. There is a blocked ashlar oriel window on the front. To the right, there is a gabled two-storey wing with one window. The range to the north is not of special interest.
