Description

This is a pump dating from the mid-19th century, created by Winwood and Co. of Bristol. It is made of cast iron and features a square column with a moulded base and capital. The capital is topped with a Beaufort Badge, which consists of a portcullis surrounded by the Garter. The pump has a spout and tap on the front and a long handle on the side. At the base, there is an ashlar trough that is semi-circular in shape. The pump is located 15 yards to the south of the Petty France Hotel.
