Description
Oldland Hall is a late 18th-century building that has been converted into three flats. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features hipped modern concrete roofs. The building consists of a two-storey central block that slightly projects, flanked by lower two-storey wings. The central block has four windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor, all of which are sash windows, with some featuring glazing bars. Above the central door, there is an arched window that has a design reminiscent of the work by Baldwin and the Elder Pinch, notable architects from Bath during that period. This window is flanked by pilasters and features a fluted frieze and a moulded cornice supported by tall console brackets.
The central entrance has a rusticated porch with a dentilled pediment and arched inner and outer doorways. The ground floor is rusticated, and the building has quoins, a first-floor band, a cornice, and a parapet with coping. The side wings are similar in style, each with two windows that are also glazing bar sashes. The ground floor of the wings has blocked outer doors that have been converted into windows, along with modern doors that have an Adam-style treatment. The wings also feature rusticated quoins and moulded copings.
