Description

The Cottage and the house attached to the south are a pair of houses located on a village street in Doynton. They were built in the early 19th century and have undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed from limestone rubble and feature a pantiled roof with raised coped verges, along with brick ridge and gable stacks. The Cottage has been rendered and is two storeys high with two windows, all of which are 16-pane sashes. The first-floor windows are positioned under the eaves, while the ground floor has a stone cambered head on the left side and a 4-pane casement with a similar head on the right. There is a central six-panelled door also with a similar head. The attached house to the left is also two storeys and has two windows. Its ground floor features a two-light casement with a stone cambered head and another two-light casement with a timber lintel, along with a central plank and batten door in a plain frame with a timber lintel. The upper floor has two two-light casements under the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
