Description
There are two stone stiles located on the north and south sides of the road, adjacent to sections of field walls. Known locally as a "Gloucestershire Stile," these structures likely date from the late 19th century. The stile on the north side of the road is a particularly good example of this type, featuring a large wide stone slab with a rounded hole in the lower part for dogs, and it is flanked by steps. It is approximately 5 feet 6 inches high on the south side and about 3 feet high on the north side, with rubble field walls on either side. About 30 yards to the southeast, there is a less elaborate stile of the same kind, which has a cracked main slab and battered jambs in the rubble field walls, approached by one step.
