Description
The retaining wall to the east side of the ramp leading to the Officers' Terrace is a structure from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of limestone rubble and features granite steps and coping. The raking retaining wall extends approximately 120 meters from the west of the Officers' Terrace to the bottom of the ramp. It includes a double flight of steps with iron railings and urn finials, which were formerly aligned with the now-demolished Commissioner's House. Additionally, there is a single flight of steps at the lower end of the former Terrace, which returns to the northeast for about 100 meters.
