Description

Hazel Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Littleton Lane in Dundry. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble with a double Roman tile roof, distinguished by saw tooth clay ridge tiles. It is a one-storey and attic building with five windows. A prominent gable on the left side features a 4-light ovolo-moulded mullion casement window with a hoodmould beneath a large relieving arch at ground floor. Above this is a similar 3-light window. Other windows are largely 18th and 19th-century 2- and 3-light casements, including those within a gabled eaves dormer. A 6-panel door, with the top two panels glazed, is centrally positioned on the right side and is set within a chamfered door frame that includes a deep notch cut into the lintel. A tall stack to the left of the passage indicates a former thatch line. The rear elevation has several one-arm two-light windows of a similar style. The interior of the farmhouse was not inspected during the listing assessment.
