Description
The building is a chantry chapel, now disused, dating from the late 14th century to early 15th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with some areas of render remaining, and features freestone quoins and dressings. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles and has coped gables.
On the west gable, there is a doorway with a hollow-ogee moulded surround and a four-centred head, leading to a plank door. Above this, there is a plain stone bellcote. The north wall contains a blocked two-light window with cusped ogee heads, which is set beneath a dripmould. The east gable also has a blocked three-light window, featuring cusped ogee heads under a four-centred head and hood mould.
Inside, the roof boasts fine arch-braced and moulded principal rafters, along with arched common rafters, a moulded ridge, and embattled wall plates. There is also an ogee-headed piscina. The chapel is scheduled as an Ancient Monument, listed as Avon County No. 108.
