Description

North Hill Cottage is a house dating to 1711, marked with the initials H.T.P. on a datestone. The construction is of rubble, with a roughcast finish, and it has pantile roofing. The house is one storey high with an attic, featuring two windows. On the left side is a gable with raised, coped verges and a ball finial. The ground floor of this wing has a plank door within an ovolo-moulded frame, sheltered by a later flat hood supported on cast iron brackets. Above the door is a two-light mullion window with a hood mould. A datestone is positioned above this window. To the right, the ground floor features a three-light window of a similar design, and above it is a flat eaves dormer containing a multi-pane casement window. A tall stack is located at the end of this wing.
