Description
Rushmoor Grange is a detached house that dates from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and an extension added around 1800. The building is constructed of rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof, along with brick and rubble stacks. It has a single storey and attics, which are highlighted by five 19th-century gabled dormers. On the ground floor, there are four 3-light casement windows, and the central entrance is a panelled door located within a 19th-century porch. To the right, there is a two-storey extension made of coursed rubble, which includes a glazing bar sash window set in a plain stone surround with a triple keystone, as well as a moulded cornice and brick parapet. Inside, the dining room and study feature deep chamfered beams and a moulded overmantel above a blocked fireplace. The original layout was a cross passage plan, with a hall and parlour to the right and a service end to the left.
