Description

Nos 144 and 148 on South Street are 18th-century buildings constructed from rendered rubble. They feature a modern pitched roof and contemporary red brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, with four casement windows that have glazing bars on the first floor, two on the ground floor, and one cased sash window with glazing bars. There are also two planked doors; one is grouped with a door that has three moulded panels, both set in a plain raised surround. These buildings, along with Nos 86 to 148 (even), form a group with Nos 1 to 6 St Mary's Place.
