Description

209 and 211 Wakeham are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from squared and coursed stone with a rendered front and feature a gabled Welsh slate roof topped with a brick ridge stack. The houses have a double-depth plan and rise two storeys with an attic, displaying a two-windowed facade. The entrance to No. 209 has a mid-20th century door, while No. 211 retains a 19th-century plank door, both of which are set in stone-cheeked porches with flat slab roofs. The windows are horned 2/2-pane sashes, and there are raking 19th-century dormers with similar sashes. This pair is part of a notable group of buildings.
