Description
14 Gloucester Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and residence, dating from the early 19th century. The building is made of rendered brick and features rendered stacks beneath a slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan with a rear left wing and stands three storeys tall with two windows on the front.
The entrance consists of a mid-20th century door set within a chamfered doorway that has a pointed arch. To the right is a late 20th century shop front, while to the left is a horned four-pane sash window. The first floor features oriel windows with four-over-six-over-four pane sashes, and the second floor has horned four-pane sashes set on a plat band. Similar sash windows are found on the other elevations, including margin-pane sashes located in the stairwell at the angle with the rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
