Description
The building is a barn, cider-house, and stable dating from the late 18th century, located 20 metres south of Great Blunsea Farmhouse. It features brick walls with burnt headers and pilaster buttresses, arranged in seven bays, and has a corrugated iron roof. The barn includes a stable-door type barn door and a segmental arch-head in the second bay. At the north end of the barn is the cider-house, which shares the same roof space, and there is an apple-loft above. The cider-mill is fully equipped with engine-driven machinery, including a cider-press with two large screw-presses, stainers, vats, and hogsheads on frames. The stable at the south end has rubble-stone walls with brick quoins and a Roman-tile roof, featuring a good stable-door with wide jamb-posts. The building is included for its group value.
