Description
Silton House is a rectory, now a house, likely built in the mid-18th century with 19th-century additions and alterations. The building is constructed of ashlar and rubble with slate roofs and stone end copings. It was probably originally symmetrical and consists of two storeys with five bays. The central feature is a two-storey pilastered porch with a round-headed arch that includes imposts and a keystone. Above the porch is a sash window with a moulded architrave and keystone. The other windows are also sashes with glazing bars set under wooden lintels, with an additional bay window on the right side. Inside, notable features include an 18th-century fireplace surround and 18th-century ceiling beams.
