Description

Lilac Cottages is a semi-detached pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble and feature a gable-ended tiled roof with brick stacks at each end. The facade is symmetrical, and there is a rear wing. The cottages are two storeys high with three bays. They have stone lintels with keystones, sash windows with glazing bars, and a 20th-century part-glazed door that is recessed under a semi-circular stone arch. Although they are semi-detached, the design gives the appearance of a single house.
