Description

The Laurels is a house likely dating from the early 19th century. It is built of coursed squared rubble with a gable-ended tiled roof and a plat band. The house features end stone pilasters with moulded capitals, and is symmetrical in design. It has two storeys and a three-window front. The windows are 16-pane sashes, each with a pitched label above. A metal tent hood with wrought-iron trellis supports is present. The entrance has a panelled door. Internal features recorded by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments include an original fireplace surround with festoon enrichment.
