Description
Brambles Farmhouse is an early 18th-century house, with 19th-century alterations, located on Church Lane in West Parley. The house is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, distinguished by blue headers. It sits upon a stone plinth. Architectural features include Dutch flat arches, a first-floor band (cemented at the front), a moulded brick eaves band, and raised walling. The roof is tiled. The east front elevation is symmetrical, featuring two storeys and five windows, with the central section filled in. It has 19th-century casement windows. A plain doorway is accented by a fanlight and a boarded door. The south gable displays blue headers arranged to form the letters "B.M.RCH".
