Description
South Mill House is an 18th-century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone, topped with a pitched modern slate roof and featuring coped gable ends. It has two contemporary red brick chimney stacks and stands two storeys high. The house has a modillion eaves cornice and the domestic section to the south includes three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars, along with two hipped dormers. The entrance door has two fielded panels and is set within a wooden porch that has an arched entrance and a hipped roof. Notably, the chimney piece in the south room may be older than the 18th century.
