Description

Messrs Burt Boulton's warehouse, which includes outhouses on the east side of the yard, is a former flax warehouse dating from the 18th or 19th century. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with some blue lias, and features a hipped corrugated iron roof. It stands three storeys tall and has five ranges of casement windows with shutters, some of which have iron bars. The ground floor includes a segmental arch that was originally fitted with doors, along with planked double loading doors above it.

To the north and south-east, there are single-storey outhouses. The west elevation displays five ranges of shuttered openings, a planked loading door, and a segmental arch on the ground floor. The south elevation features a range of loading doors, while the east side of the yard has a series of outhouses, all made of hammer-dressed stone. The structure is open to the west and has no openings facing the road.
