Description
Agriculture House is a late 18th century, two-storey red brick house with an attic, set within its own grounds. The front features five windows and a projecting porch supported by composite columns that hold up an entablature. There is a fluted frieze and an attractive semi-circular fanlight above double doors with six fielded panels. The house has a stone plinth and a moulded stone cornice decorated with alternating fluting and paterae. The parapet is topped with moulded stone coping and angle vases. There are two dormers on the front. The back elevation is stucco and includes a central round-headed window on the first floor, along with two dormers. Each end has a parapetted gable and a rectangular chimney stack, with kneelers at the gables. The rear appearance suggests 19th century alterations.
