Description
Barrowfield Farmhouse, along with an attached barn and stables, is a single farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It features lias stone walls and a thatched roof with stone gable copings. There are brick stacks at both the left and right gables, and the roof has a steep pitch that allows for a tall attic space. The building is two storeys high with attics and has three windows, which are three-light iron casements set in wooden frames with leaded lights. The front door, located at the center, is wooden and has nine glass panels, dating from the 20th century. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut with a slate roof and rubble walls, which likely dates from the later 19th century. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a small barn and stables attached, constructed with rubble walls and topped with a corrugated iron roof.
