Description

Knapp House is a late 18th-century house with extensions and alterations from later periods. The house is constructed of ashlar and rubble walls, with a gable-ended slate roof featuring stone copings and stone stacks at the ends and centre. It is two storeys and has attics, with a six-window front. The windows are 15-pane sashes, each with an architrave and keystone. A 20th-century porch now obscures the original doorway, which had moulded jambs and a broken pediment in the third bay from the right. Some windows have been blocked up. Internal features include a plan that has been much altered, along with chamfered beams and moulded cornices.
