The mounting block, dating from the 18th to 19th century, is located immediately in front of Church Cottage on Church Road in Lelant. It is made of granite and features four steps. This mounting block, along with the Church of St Uny, Church Cottage, and Chygwidden Cottage, forms a cohesive group of historical structures.
