Description

A pair of attached houses dated to the late 18th or early 19th century. The construction is of slatestone rubble, with slate cladding to the front and sides, and a slate roof with ridge coping. There is a gable stack on the right end of the second house, and rear stacks on the first.

Number 1, on the left, has a central entrance leading to a stair hall, with a room on either side. It has a lower roofline than number 2. Number 2 has a side entrance on the right, leading directly into a room.

Number 1 is two storeys high with two windows. It has a 12-pane sash window on both the ground and first floors on the left side, and a plain door within a gabled wooden porch on the right. A porch with a pitched roof and a 6-panelled fielded door in a moulded frame is located on the left side. A 20th-century two-storey addition has been added to the rear left.

Number 2 is also two storeys high with two windows, all of which are 12-pane sashes with a slate string course above the ground-floor windows. A stack is located externally on the right side, and there is a 20th-century lean-to porch with a door.

The interior has not been inspected.
