Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory that has been converted into a farmhouse, built around 1840 with some minor later additions and alterations. It features roughcast slate-stone and a hipped slate roof. The main section consists of three bays, with a slightly projecting hip-roofed break to the right. The building is two storeys high and has a three-over-one window arrangement, with glazing bar sashes in the main range. The upper left window has been replaced by a two-paned sash, while the ground floor windows extend to the ground and are adorned with moulded stone entablatures supported by consoles. The projecting break includes tripartite glazing bar sashes in a projecting pilastered surround on both floors, with the first-floor window being smaller in proportion. There are rendered stacks located at the top of the roof slope between the centre and right windows, and to the right of the main range. A tall sash window provides light to the staircase at the rear of the building. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have panelled window shutters.
