Description

No. 8 Quay Street is a town house that has been converted into two shops with accommodation above. It dates from the early 19th century and features a stucco exterior with a later textured finish, topped by an asbestos slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range. The windows are likely original 16-pane sashes set within moulded architraves. The shop front on the left is an early 20th-century design, while the shop front on the right is from the later 20th century. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
