Description

The Sloop Inn is a low, L-shaped building dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed granite rubble with a tarred plinth and has two storeys. The building features two windows, which are 19th-century double-hung sashes without glazing bars. The sides of the projecting right-hand wing are slate hung above the ground floor. The roof is half hipped and covered with slate, and there is a flat-headed dormer. A tall brick chimney stack is also present. The Sloop Inn, along with Nos 2, 3, Slipway Cottage, and Sloop Cottage, located in Back Lane, forms a group.
