Description

Waymarking stone, probably from the early 19th century. It is made of painted granite and stands approximately 1 meter high, tapering to a splayed top. The west face features painted incised lettering that reads "ST COLUMB NEWLYN" along with a bench mark at 279.1 feet above ordnance datum. The east face is marked with the name "MITCHELL."
