Description

The Market House is an early 19th-century building located in Market Place. It is constructed from granite rubble and is free-standing with a rectangular shape and round ends. The building features a slate hipped roof and a central cupola topped with a ball finial. There is a decorative band at the first-floor level. The Market House has two storeys, and its entrances and windows are adorned with red brick segmental arches that include keystones. A datestone on the building indicates the year 1832.
