Description

Albert Pier is a harbour pier built in 1845 and extended in 1853. It is constructed of granite ashlar and features a long straight design that curves at the southern end into the harbour. The outer side of the pier has a raised wall, while the inner side includes recessed steps. The pier was renamed in 1846 after Prince Albert landed there. It is part of a notably complete group of harbour structures in Penzance.
